Elijah Is 4!🔥 I've had the pleasure of making Elijah's birthday cakes since his 1st Birthday! How special that we get to become part of someone's journey? We've done dinosaurs, paw patrol, Spiderman and now firefighting🔥 Elijah used his mommy's phone and sent me a WhatsApp message telling me exactly what he wanted for his birthday cake - he wanted a chocolate cake with red icing, with a firetruck, a ladder and hose, as well as some fire. Jenna & Adam...Oh how I love to bring a concept to life and boy oh boy was this a big one! I worked with Jenna's mom on this cake that was planned as a surprise for the couple. Talk about pressure! ...This cake is our Belinda design - one of my personal favourites with it's spacer between the mid and bottom tiers, giving it a super modern look ...The look of this cake was inspired by the ocean, the land and the mountains 🌊 ⛱️ 🏔️ The bottom tier was covered in delicate fondant ruffles to represent the ocean, the mid tier was textured with Swiss meringue buttercream to create a sandy looking texture, and the top tier had sharp shards of marbled fondant to represent the mountains, with one large king protea blooming at it's top. Azura is 4! ...I have the absolute pleasure of baking for quite a few families every year when the birthdays start rolling in. It's so interesting to hear what they want compared to the previous year! I have even received a WhatsApp voice message from one of my little friends recently telling me EXACTLY what they want their birthday cake to look like this year. It's so special ..Bluey was always going to make an appearance at some stage, and I'm so pleased with how this beautiful vegan cake turned out for Azura's 4th birthday party.
